Our Greenhouses are full of all kinds of plants just right for your flower beds, patios and perennial beds.

   We have around 50 different types of hanging baskets, all kinds of patio pots and over 150 different perennials. Zonal geraniums, Ivy Geraniums, Scaevola, Petunia, Portulaca, Vinca, Verbena, Impatien, Boston Fern, Penta, Bouganvilla, Mandevilla, Spider, Ivy, Begonia, Evolvulus, Lysimachia are some of the hanging baskets that we have this time of year.   Hostas, Daylilys, Garden Phlox, Vines, Shrub Roses, Delphiniums, Lupines, Dianthus, Cone Flowers, Sedums, Gailardia, Garden Mums, Baby's Breath and many many more perennials await your flowerbeds.

   We also have pots, baskets, potting soil and fertilizers to help your garden grow. The flowershop is full of gift ideas, green and blooming plants and a nice assortment of roses and cut flowers.

   A day doesn't pass that we don't have hummingbirds visiting this time of year. And there are so many fragrances as you walk from one area to another in the greenhouses and the perennials. It's worth your time just to visit and look for ideas

   Try something new and ask questions about how much sun, how much moisture, container or ground planted, how often to fertilize, do I deadhead, etc., etc., etc.

Green Acres, located in the scenic Loess Hills, 2 miles west of Smithland Iowa has been growing and selling flowers for over 20 years. We are open the entire year. We are a full-service florist offering floral arrangements, roses, loose cut flowers, balloon bouquets, foliage and blooming plants, silk and dried floral designs, gifts , delivery and Teleflora wire service. Something for every occasion-- birthdays, anniversaries, get well, sympathy, and just because.

Delivery is available in an approximately 20 mile area. Monday through Saturday we deliver to the towns of Anthon, Castana, Climbing Hill, Correctionville, Danbury, Holly Springs, Hornick, Mapleton, Onawa, Oto, Rodney, Salix, Sloan, Smithland, Turin, Ute and Whiting.
